A hundred years after colonization of the sector, Humans find themselves in a bit of a tough spot. Their oldest and most advanced technology is growing scarcer each year, and a continuously growing population of both Humans, and immigrant alien lifeforms ensures that the respective borders of the Core Worlds and Solarian Corporated Systems will need to grow too. Agriculture, mining, and trade are key to the survival of these colonies. In a sector of space where resources and living space continue to dwindle, it’s only a matter of time before things reach a boiling point, and in the interim, people have to make their way in life as best they can.
From poor dirt farmers in the Ptolemy system, to rich Corporate Executives in Banneker, all humans know that their place in this unfamiliar side of the galaxy is tenuous. Piracy is an ever present danger, and the individual governing bodies of each world seem unable to agree on a consistent set of laws. Smugglers, soldiers, scientists, and superstars find that their services (whatever they may be) are always in demand.
